Henna and Gavin met me on the shores of St Augustine Beach for their engagement session. We started the shoot by popping a bottle of bubbly to help warm them up and get them comfy for the camera. Along for the ride was their trusty 4-legged pal, Scout. While Scout was running around freely and having the best day ever, I set to work creating fun and romantic shots! Henna and Gavin were down for all of my crazy ideas. Stand on those rocks in the waves then twirl her around and piggy back rides were just a few.
After about 30 minutes on the beach, we headed to the historic downtown area of St. Augustine. Our first stop there was the beautiful marina that sits just below the iconic Bride of Lions. All of the subtle whites and blues from the boats docked there make for a beautiful backdrop. With Henna’s hand in Gavins, we then began to explore the old brick roads that lead to beautiful historic homes. Our last stop was the in the center of downtown know as the plaza. It was around this time the sun came out and all of St. Augustine started to rise. Although there were plenty of people walking by, Gavin had no problem snuggling up with Henna to keep her warm and make her laugh. You could immediately tell that Henna favorite place was being wrapped up in Gavin’s arm. They were both so in tune with each other and showed an abundance of love for one another that they made my job so easy!!
